Intermediate Modern/Acro Dance

Starting December 4th!!

Every Monday from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Instructor: Courtney Giannone

Introducing our NEW Monday Night Class!

Malashock Dancer Courtney Giannone teaches modern technique with elements of acro dance fundamentals. Students will focus on floor work, partnering, prop work (i.e. silks, boxes, Cyr wheel, etc.) inversions, and lifts.

 

 


Adult Contemporary Ballet

Starting in January!

Every Monday from 10:00am – 11:30am

Instructor: Andrea Rehm

Class will focus on placement, alignment, building strength from the ground up, and using ballet vocabulary to explore space. Andrea Rehm, a Malashock Company Member and a former dancer with Nashville Ballet and Ballet Quad Cities, will examine how to take ballet technique and utilize it as a contemporary dancer. Ages 16+.


Adult Hip Hop

Starting in January!

Every Tuesday from 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Instructor: Joshua Robert

A high energy class that will push dancers to explore fast-paced, stylized movements that span all hip-hop genres. Hip-hop dance requires students that have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. The class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up.


Pilates for Dancers

Starting in January!

Every Wednesday and Friday, 8:45am – 9:45am

Instructor: Brittany Taylor

Learn classic Pilates principals, flexibility in the spine, strengthening exercises for the whole body, and freedom of movement. Joseph H. Pilates believed that his exercise regimen was the ideal system to rehabilitate injuries and transform the body into a perfect instrument of the will. All are welcome!


Advanced Level Modern Technique

Every Wednesday from 10:00am – 11:30am

Instructor: Brittany Taylor

Brittany’s modern class addresses strength, flexibility, endurance, and movement exploration. While the class is based firmly in modern dance techniques, phrases focus on dynamic shifts in weight and intricate floor work. Combinations are meant to challenge the mind and body while encouraging self expression and a supportive environment to try new movements and learn from your peers.
