The Company John Malashock, Artistic Director Malashock Dance is known for its collaborative projects and has successfully created projects with artists of all disciplines and arts organizations, such as the San Diego Opera, San Diego Symphony, La Jolla Music Society, KPBS-TV, the Old Globe Theatre, Museum of Photographic Arts, and many others. Malashock Dance is also known for their work in the new genre of dance film, choreography specifically for the camera. The Emmy Award winning productions, The Soul of Saturday Night and Love & Murder, produced with partner UCSD-TV, have been screened at various local and international film festivals and air on public television stations across the country.
